4 Things God has blessed us with

1. He has Showered Us with Every Spiritual Blessing (Ephesians 1:3)

- If you do not feel blessed today, it is probably because you have not been counting your blessings. 

- When we have been Christians long enough, we begin to take many things for granted such as our health, friends, family etc.

- Sometimes, we do not feel blessed because we equate blessings with material things. However, Paul had none of these possessions when he wrote Ephesians. Outwardly, he might be poor but inwardly, he was rich with the love, peace and joy of the Lord.

- Our blessings are found in heavenly places where thieves cannot steal and moths cannot corrupt. The more we live in the heavenly places, the more we will enjoy our spiritual blessing.

- Colossians 3:1-4.

2. He Has Chosen Us for Holiness

- To be holy means to be set apart for God.

- We are holy in Christ as long as we have committed our daily thoughts and actions to Him, as long as we set ourselves apart to serve Him, imperfect though we may be.

- To be blameless does not mean to be "sinless". We may sin but we can still be blameless. This can be so by handling our sins correctly through repentance, confession and appropriating God's forgiveness. In His generosity, God has made it possible for us to remain holy and blameless through the blood of Christ on the Cross.

3. He has Adopted Us as Sons

- Every child who is adopted through the free will of the adoptive parents is chosen and wanted. God adopted us as His children because He wanted us.-

- We were under the power of sin, but through Christ, we have been redeemed and placed into God's family.

- 2 Corinthians 5:17

4. He Has Redeemed and Forgiven Us

- There is only one thing that can seperate us from being God's children: sin. But through His death on the Cross, Christ has lavished on us His redemption and forgiveness.

- As recipients of God's grace and generosity, our response must be to worship Him. And not only that, our gratitude towards God must be reflected in the way we respond to a world in need - physically, emotionally and spiritually.

SEEK TO BE A BLESSING!

- We are blessed to be a blessing!

- Let us challenge ourselves to not only embrace the abundant blessings of God, but also seek to be a blessing to a needy world. And in doing so, we return the glory to the Lord. To God be the glory!
