When we do not feel hungry for God, it is time to come back to the Cross and think about all He has done.
Balance between excellence & dependence on God - It is like a pair of scissors. Both blades must have the cutting edge. They must go hand-in-hand. Counter verse: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." - Colossians 3:23
Eventually, it's the heart that pleases God.
